InnoAsia 2010 – Innovate for a Sustainable World

In an era focused on sustainable development, the effort to address present requirements without compromising the ability to meet the needs of future generations will be paramount. This is the notion behind “Innovate for a Sustainable World”, the theme adopted by InnoAsia 2010, organized by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation.

The three-day conference focuses on technology, innovation and commercialisation in connection with developments in energy optimisation, digital living, life sciences, and telecommunications. InnoAsia aims to provide opportunities for entrepreneurs from Hong Kong, the Pearl River Delta Region and Asia region for market promotion and business collaboration, and at the same time to learn from the world renowned experts and to share with industries and practitioners especially in the nearby Pearl River Delta and the Asia Region to inspire ideas through technology transfer and adaptation of innovation. The main conference, themed “Smart City”, invites world renowned panel of city planners, architects, experts and business leaders to share their global insight and experience on exploring how to develop a sustainable smart city, including the overall visionary policies formation, evolution of transport system development, technological and commercial innovation, pioneer design solutions that to drive smart resource management e.g. energy optimization / saving and low emission multi-storey buildings.

Besides the Smart City conference, the InnoAsia 2010 consists of business matching forum, venture / angel workshops and series of technology insights knowledge transfer. Launched during HKSAR’s Expo on Technology & Creativity, this will mark the sixth consecutive year that the event
will be held.

Just a brief reminder for HAESCO members – the deadline for booking your eco-plot at the 2010 Eco Asia Expo is fast approaching!!
